The annual nationally televised game on Saturday between two of the most storied programs in WCBB history lived up to expectations as Tennesse held on to defeat Connecticut 89-80 in Knoxville before a record 24,653.

While Charde Houston and Brittany Hunter reminded fans what they were capable of, Ann Strother led all scorers with 25 points, and Candace Parker added more plays to her highlight reel tape, Sidney "Sidville" Spencer was the difference in the game.
