Jacki Gemelos' hometown paper catches up with the high school star, now recovering from her second ACL tear in two years.
Gemelos: "I have no doubt in my mind I'll come back better than ever, stronger than ever. I feel like I could go now. I'm not having any pain."
Mark Trakh, whose USC team-- where Gemelos has yet to play a game-- missed this year's Big Dance: "For her to be up the way she is, always smiling, is unbelievable. She's in the gym every day."
Speaking of injuries: Laura Ramus, the Shock's trainer, has something to say about preventing ACL tears, and other serious injuries, among young female athletes. "Instead of playing games so early," she says, "athletes need to be taught movement and proper form."
