The Marist College women’s basketball players Meg Dahlman and Courtney Kolesar were eating dinner at an Applebee’s early last season when they realized their transformation from student-athletes to celebrities had begun.

Two young girls repeatedly ran past their table giggling. Dahlman eventually said hello, a greeting that stopped the girls in their tracks. Dahlman said they shyly replied, “We can talk to you?”
