What the heck: in the most surprising of all the conference tourney surprises so far-- an upset Helen noticed before I did-- Colorado State defeated Utah.

CSU's Amaka Uzomah pulled down fifteen rebounds as her team controlled the glass; the Rams also held Utah to 29% from the field. The Rams, who have now won two tournament games, had no wins in reg-season conference play this year.

By contrast, the nationally-ranked Utes had no losses in conference before last night. They're a lock for the NCAAs (best nonconference wins: Minnesota, Nebraska; three non-conference losses, to Marist, Stanford and USC) but it's hard to make a guess at their seed.
