In today's TV games... there was a long stretch in the first half when Georgia Tech outplayed Duke, and it looked like it could be a game. They were playing good defense and dominating inside. But they got lazy and Duke had a big run to close out the half; in the 2nd half, both teams coasted. Note to future defenders: Iciss Tillis can shoot from outside -- if you lay off her, she'll hit 3s.

Washington looked outmatched against Arizona. Mendiola was working hard, but she had trouble getting the ball in the hoop, and she didn't have much help. This was the first I'd seen Shawntinice Polk play -- she absolutely controlled the lane. She's listed at 6'5" and she has great post moves. Craziest thing: she's only a freshman. A couple more years.... I wouldn't want to be in the Pac 10 playing against her.
