Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Yesterday's games: Big 12: In front of almost 11,000 fans, the Texas Longhorns won their first Big 12 title. Tech coach Sharp said it was no secret how they lost: poor rebounding and shooting. Former Raider Sheryl Swoops came back to watch the game.

In the WAC La Tech won easily and sent a strong message to the selection committee -- they want a #2 or #3 seed. Cheryl Ford had another good game and won the tourney MVP to add to her season MVP.

In the America East, underdog BU beat Maine. ODU won its 12th straight Colonial title, and Hampton won the Mid-Atlantic. UCSB won another Big West title. They keep getting better, and could give some big conference teams a challenge this year.

Georgia State beat UCF to win the Atlantic Sun. Alabama State won the SWAC. St. Francis won the NEC.
