There's been lots of complaining lately by guy coaches who say they're discriminated against in the market for jobs coaching women's college teams. And yet it still seems inconceivable that a women, even Pat, would ever get offered a job coaching men.

Harry Peretta draws an analogy: "Thirty years ago they said an African-American could not coach. That's not true, and it was never true. But that's what society made you think. Ask most people then, and that's what they believed. Now it sounds so stupid."
