After going undefeated in regular season play, Sara's rec league team got blown out tonight in the playoff semis. The other team brought someone new in -- about 6'2", good post moves, good midrange shooter... she scored about 30 and we had no answer. She must have played D1 somewhere.

I got the first technical of my career.

The refs called less than 10 fouls total in the entire game. One ref was obviously not paying attention to the action on the floor -- he was standing in the backcourt during our offensive sets. So I asked him (no swearing, no shouting) if he would at least come watch the game.

Next time down, he stood about 5 feet inside the 10-second line. I said, "that's better." He T'd me up.

The refs had nothing to do with our loss -- we were just outmatched. But once in awhile in rec league, you get the guys who are just there to make a little money. They could care less about the game and just wanna get outta there asap. That's what we had tonight. It was frustrating.

Still, a pretty good season. Sadly, it might be Sara's last with this team. We are looking to put together a Pro-Am squad in mpls. Get ready...
