Coach Stringer explains why McCullouch -- with the game firmly in hand in the final seconds -- was driving for a layup:

"The mind-set we've had with this group is that we really haven't had a killer intinct. We've talked about this before. When we played Notre Dame during the season, we probably could have had a 20- to 25-point lead, but we didn't. We just got back (on defense) and we were satisfied."
