Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Tuesday, January 04, 2005

Arizona State took apart Arizona, 69-47. Polkey's absence made the game a mismatch; Dee Dee Wheeler scored 26, but it didn't matter as her team turned the ball over 28 times, only 11 of those on steals. The Wildcats also shot 6-for-19 from the line. Kristen Kovesdy led the aggressive home team with 18 points in 22 minutes. "Our inside play was horrible," said coach Bonvincini; "we were half a step slow on everything."

The streaking Sun Devils stay home to host Stanford on Friday; Stanford play Washington tonight.
