Everyone asks the same three questions: (1) "Are you excited?" (2) "Was it planned?" (3) "Is Sara still going to law school?"

In response to the first, we're always tempted to say "No!" just to see what looks of horror and disapproval we might produce. In response to the second, I'd like to say "None of your goddamn business." The third is vaguely troubling because I suppose if I were the one going to law school next year, no one would think to ask.

For the sake of politeness, we usually just say "yes," "yes," and "yes."

My friend David Fontana asked: "Are you hoping that s/he will be a point guard or a shooting guard?" The answer to that one is obvious. Point guard -- 10 assists, 5 steals, 5 rebounds, and 2 points per game.
