Maryland and FSU played one of the season's wildest games yesterday in Tallahassee. Shay Doron and Roneeka Hodges each scored 39 points.
Hodges tied the game in the final seconds. In OT, the teams combined for 30 points, with FSU coming out on top.
"Plays don't make game-winners," FSU coach Sue Semrau said. "Players do. Down the line we came up with some big, big plays tonight. I can't say enough about this team; they are going to find a way to step in and get it done."
"I told (Semrau), FSU is by far the best team I've seen on tape," said Terps coach Brenda Frese. "They may not have the kind of talents that the other teams have, but they play the best collectively. They have each others' backs."
