Tina Thompson and Damon Jones are having a baby boy in May.

"I was very shocked," Thompson said. "It wasn't a planned thing, although it's a very welcome one and very exciting one for me and Damon."

Thompson plans to return for part of the W season, but she isn't exactly sure when she'll be ready.

"At this moment, I won't be starting the beginning of the season with the Comets," she said. "I'm planning to have a child, and I do have expectations of returning back to the team as soon as I possibly can. I know that I will definitely be out, or not interacting with the team in a physical way, until (after) the end of May, because that's the expected time (of birth)."
