Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Clayton Collins at the CS Monitor examines the use of male practice players. Much of the same stuff we've heard: Darlene Bailey explains why the CWA is looking into it, everyone else says there's nothing worth looking into.

Coach Inglese tells a story about how when Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck played on the practice squad, he had to take a break because he was getting too beaten up by Becky Gottstein.

Collins gets a quote from Donna Lopiano at the WSF. "Somebody has to show why there is a need [for a ban], and nothing I've heard so far has sounded compelling to me," she says. "Any coach is very experienced in making sure that they set up fair and safe matchups in practice situations."
