Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Monday, March 21, 2005

"This has got to be the greatest win in our history," Liberty coach Carey Green said after taking out Penn State. "It's as pretty simple as that. We've been trying to get this one for nine years."

The Lions just didn't have any answer for 6'8" Katie Feenstra, who finished with 22 and 11.

"She was one of the stronger post players I've played all season," said Ashli Schwab, who drew the unenviable task of guarding someone about a half a foot taller than she. "It's not like I haven't seen it before. ... I kept trying to push her on the block. Every time she got the ball, she had it so high and turned around and shot it. She doesn't miss a lot."

Somewhere in Georgia, Reicina Russell is laughing.
