Yesterday, the Board reported the Detroit Shock guard Elaine Powell had gotten into a fight in one of her league games in Poland.

You can view the footage here. An opponent drives to the basket, and Powell fouls her hard, sending her to the floor. The player gives Powell a kick to the ankle in retaliation, and Powell goes berserk, first slapping her with both hands, then throwing a vicious punch that apparently fractured the opponent's face.

It is pretty terrible.

In the Polish TV news footage also available through the board, you can see the player finally get up and walk off the floor, her face a disgusting, bloody mess.

It sounds like Powell may face criminal charges.
