Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Connecticut dismantled Minnesota. An unstoppable Whalen shot 6-7, Sales 7-11, Katie Douglas 3-6 from long range; the Lynx looked tired and leaderless, and couldn't connect from outside until garbage time.

"They put on a clinic offensively," Lynx coach McConnell-Serio says. "We weren't where we needed to be." Dydek, whom Thibault has been using perfectly, just shut down the Lynx's sophomore front line.

With Large Marge on the bench, Minnesota fought back from 14-2 to just 21-20, but finished the first half down ten anyway, and couldn't do anything right in the second. The only bright spot for the visitors: Tamika Williams, who appears to have added the baby hook shot Lynx fans have wanted from her for years.

Katie Smith (3-10, 0-4 from three): "I think the Sun right now are the best team in the WNBA."

Doesn't everyone?
