Facebook has become incredibly popular with college students, and perhaps particularly popular with women's basketball players. In the Globe this morning, Jackie MacMullan examined the joys and perils of the Facebook phenomenon.

I recently set up a Facebook account, and for no particular reason, I joined the Dave Stromme Fan Club.

Yesterday, in the midst of ongoing tumult, Coach Stromme was fired by head coach Pam Borton. No word yet on the existence of a Pam Borton Fan Club on Facebook.
