Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Houston couldn't quite close the door on Chicago, but the Sky couldn't quite fit through: the visiting Comets came away with the win.

Dupree again faced (and outscored) her former coach. Dupree: "It was a lot of fun and this time she gave me more freedom to play, because the last time she was trying to coach me on the floor."

Lovelace brought her team within one on a third-quarter trey; Snow grabbed a double-double, her fifth this year.

The Houston Chronicle's Stickney claims that the second-half schedule favors the team, a lot: nine of their last 13 games (counting last night) set them against sub-.500 teams. But only one more of those nine involves an East basement-dweller: three involve Phoenix, who aren't exactly an automatic W for anyone-- even if they do tend to run out of steam.
