In Charlotte, the Silver Stars had some sort of meltdown. Tan Smith racked up 25 on 10-14 shooting, and the Sting zoomed away for its fourth win.

Smith had severe knee troubles in May and June; she says her team has improved because her knee has improved. "I was frustrated early in the season because my body wasn't giving me what I wanted it to give me. I felt slower. After that cortisone shot [in June], it felt good. I don't know how long it's going to last, but hopefully it will last a while."
