The Mercury blew a huge early lead by not rebounding, and the Mystics-- playing without Milton and without Beard-- climbed ahead in the final minutes for their second road win of the year.

Melvin and Byears dominated the paint; Phoenix hit 13 treys...nine of them in the first half... in 28 tries. Hot early, the Merc's jump shooters faded into nothingness in the fourth quarter.

Merc fans who want excuses can blame the airlines: the team spent Saturday night in an L.A. hotel.
