Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Voepel will have to wait longer for that closely-fought, season-defining nonconference game: the LSU-Ohio State rematch proved at least as lopsided as their contest in '05.

In other words: LSU rolled. Very much at home in a packed Maravich Center, the Tigers led by twenty at the half. Fowles outplayed Davenport, more than the final score shows: "I came out in beast mode," she explained.

LSU's other four starters outscored OSU's other four by 34 to 11 43 to 20. Buckeye guard Hoskins: "Everything went wrong today."

LSU guard Erica White called the game a "statement": "If you give us time to prepare and lock in, we can take on anyone."
