Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Indiana Wesleyan ended their perfect season with a championship, becoming the first NAIA Division II team to do so. In winning the title game 48-34, the Wildcat's defense held Ozarks (Mo) 49 points below its season average of 83. Senior Liz Howerth, who scored 25 points in the victory, also earned tournament MVP honors after averaging 19.6 points per game in the Wildcats five game run to the championship.

Fans at home who couldn't make the game cheered along at the IWU Student Center.
