Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Our own Helen profiles Coach Stringer. The Rutgers (formerly Iowa) coaching legend recalls her youth:

"I would put these pants [on] underneath my skirt, walk through the neighborhood, and say ‘Hello,’ and then when I’d get to the courtyard, pull the skirt off and play basketball with the guys...

"I became a [high school] cheerleader so that I could get close enough to the guys to tell them what they needed to do.”
