Morgan Pressel took the Kraft Nabisco, becoming the youngest woman to win a major. She was aided by the collapses of Se Ri Pak and Suzann Petterson. Pak had a three-stroke lead early in the day but bogeyed seven of her last eleven. Pak's demise left Petterson with her own three-stroke lead, and she responded in kind with a meltdown over the last four holes.

All Pressel had to do was watch. "I know those last few holes enjoy taking their toll on people and I'm lucky it wasn't me today," she said.
