Overseas players get drafted, make hometown country news, whether or not they'll make a roster:

Shay Doron tells Israelis that just being selected amounts to "a dream come true." If she sticks around, she'll be the first second player from Israel in the league, as well as the first Israeli to be drafted. (Thanks to Comets fan pilight for remembering Mila Nikolich, who didn't get drafted but did get a ring.)

Trinidad journalists notice the 6'7" Gillian Goring, who has a shot with the Mystics-- if she has the stamina for the pros.

Penn State's Amanda Brown has a chance with the Sparks-- she's also on the Canadian national team.
