Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

I've got to rep my alma mater. WashU is the long established standard of basketball in St. Louis, but another DIII school down the (closed) road is making some noise. Maryville University of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has the longest active conference win streak and is just four games away from setting the DIII record. Maryville has beat the standard but not this year.

The Saints are lead by alum Chris Ellis, a long time area high school coach and short time coach of the St. Louis River Queens of the WBA. Coach Majerus take comfort; while Maryville hasn't lost a regular season conference game in over four years, Ellis started his collegiate coaching career going 3-13 in SLIAC play...with players like me.
