Fantasia Goodwin quit on the notion of fairy-tale endings a number of years ago when she landed in the child-welfare system.

She was not supposed to become a Cinderella story.

But amazingly, the former varsity basketball standout at Martin Luther King Jr. is getting ready for the Dance. Goodwin is about to experience the pageantry of the NCAA tournament with her teammates at Syracuse University.
