Some more conference conclusions:

1. Rashida Suber's twisting layup with four seconds lifted the Coppin State past North Carolina A&T and to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship. After scoring only 25 points in the first half, and letting a lead slip away in the last few seconds, the Eagles rallied for their third league title in four years.

2. Miami of Ohio earned their first NCAA bid by stomping Ohio, 67-56, winning the Mid-American Conference championship. Tournament MVP, Amanda Jackson, a senior who had redshirted after sustaining a season-ending knee injury two years ago following an on-court collision with teammate Laura Markwood. had 19 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

3. San Diego State was 0-8 in Mountain West Conference tournament play before upsetting No. 3 Wyoming and No. 2 TCU to reach the championship. They gave New Mexico all they could handle before falling 62-59. The Lobos won the tournament title in 2003, '04, '05 and '06, but this year they became the lowest seed ever to win the MWC tournament.
"This is a team that had some failures," Lobos coach Don Flanagan said. "The top three teams in the league (Utah, TCU and Wyoming), we lost both times to them. All of those games were close. A lot of the times we had leads going into the last four minutes of the game. So we had some disappointments throughout the year."

For them to come back at this point in the year and play so well and play so confidently, that's a tribute to the effort they gave in practice and the determination they had when they came to this tournament to be successful."
4. UC Santa Barbara will return to the NCAA tourney after missing an invite the past two years. Being Jessica Wilson's 16 points, the Gauchos defeated UC Davis 74-59. Wilson, the conference player of the year, was selected the tournament MVP.
"I'm so happy that we got back here," Wilson said. "It means so much because the last two years have been heartbreaking. This year, we didn't get heartbroken and I'm glad that we won."
5. Another two-year NCAA MIA team, Montana, punched their ticket and rules the Big Sky conference after defeating Montana State 101-65. Mandy Morales, tournament MVP, made all six of her 3-point attempts and adding a game-high seven assists.
"I was pretty surprised when I saw that," Morales said. "I thought I missed one. I guess I was feeling it a little bit, but it's pretty much my team that gets me the ball and sets screens for me. I'm just blessed to be on this team."
