Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

In Key Arena, Seattle edged Houston on a Sue Bird fast break layup. Now that's excitement.

It may not have been championship basketball: almost everybody involved shot badly: Snow was a no-show (0-2 in 19 minutes); Lauren Jackson went 1-9.

Houston remain winless after five games: last year they started the summer 0-10. It's another rough year for Comets fans: at least they now have a radio deal. No word on a local TV contract, though.

Fun fact: Charde Houston, the person, currently shoots much better (55%) and scores more points per minute (54 in 72) than Houston, the team.
