The 17th-ranked Seminoles held up their part of the Sunshine State resurgence. They jumped out to an early lead against the #7 Tar Heels and held on for the upset win, 77-70.

The victory is Coach Semrau's 200th, and there was a mighty fine crowd on hand to watch her bare feet pace the sidelines. With the win, the Seminoles tie the school record for most wins over a ranked opponent in a season.

By the way, 17th is the highest Florida State's ever been ranked.
