Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Friday, March 20, 2009

As this year's Huskies get ready to play, last year's UConn seniors stick together, with one another and with the current team. So says Altavilla at the Courant, who also describes each ex-Husky's first pro year: "I instant-message as many [current players] as I can," says Ketia Swanier.

One of those ex-Huskies is Mel Thomas, whose book we've been reading, off and on, this year: it's a touched-up edition of her journals, mostly from 2007-08, and it can get repetitive, but it's a lot of fun for any UConn fan nonetheless. The highlight so far-- and a story too long to tell here: how Mel almost convinced Geno she would go to Duke.
