While some are willing to handicap the CAA tournament, others say the race for the (usually) ODU Cup is wide open.

Upstart Drexel looks to lay claim to the crown and, if the end of the season awards are indication, they have a strong argument.
Head Coach Denise Dillon and junior forward Gabriela Marginean were honored with the most prestigious postseason awards by winning CAA Coach of the Year and Player of the Year, respectively.

Senior guard Andrea Peterson won the Dean Ehlers Leadership Award and was named to the All-Academic First Team. Jasmina Rosseel earned a spot on the All-CAA Third Team and Jennifer Stjärnström made the All-Academic Second Team.
And yet...anyone who ignores perennial champ Old Dominion does so at their own peril. Consider this review of their dynasty in "17 Years about ODU's Dynasty."
