Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Well, that's frustrating.

Home court plus a shot at home court advantage through the playoffs should have made the Indy/Phx match up quite intriguing. But, minus Katie D. (sprained ankle), not so much. Writes Mechelle (sweet quick turnaround, MV!):
These are the kinds of games after which Indiana coach Lin Dunn wakes up in the middle of the night screaming. If she ever went to sleep in the first place, that is.

There wasn't a lot of defense from her Fever on Wednesday night at Conseco Fieldhouse in a game between the East and West leaders. Of course, every defense in the league is tested when playing Phoenix. But the Mercury weren't stopped at all in a 106-90 victory.
Cappie dropped 25 (and she seemed to be having a better hair day - though she needs to be careful about those fouls), this needs to be re-captioned -- in, I believe, more ways than one. There's concern there may be another Aussie injury and did you know that, when she turns sideways, Bonner is invisible to both refs and the opposition?

Finally - interesting random note from the Indy Star: WNBA games are 40 minutes, but if extrapolated to 48, the Mercury would be outscoring the NBA-leading Phoenix Suns, who averaged 109.4. And LORDY do I detest those floating Bing Boxes*
