A little Penn State flashback:

Slim, trim and looking as young as ever, Andrea Garner appeared very able to slip on the old No. 40 jersey and travel back in time 10 years to when she was helping Penn State to an historic women’s basketball season.

But instead of a basketball on this Saturday afternoon, Garner walked onto the Bryce Jordan Center floor holding her daughter, one of her three children. Time does fly, even if the memories of a Final Four season still seem as fresh as a new pair of sneakers.

“I can’t believe it,” said Garner, who along with teammates Helen Darling, Lisa Shepherd, Chrissy Falcone, Marissa Graby, Katrena Carr and Maren Walseth were in attendance as the university honored the former players on Dec. 12. “The only reason why I know it’s real is when I step out on the court and try to play. It is over, but I don’t feel like it’s been 10 years.”
