Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Another upset victory for Boston College, who won in Chapel Hill: the Eagles, who used only seven players, broke open a close game at the end.

BC's coach Crawley played for coach Hatchell on UNC's 1994 championship team. "My players understood how important this game was," she said, "and they played hard for me tonight."

UNC, on the other hand, look sad. They've lost four straight, and they're used to winning; just as bad, they're getting out-rebounded. "It's like a bad dream," coach Hatchell complains.

The ACC as a whole has had a weird year, with no team clearly separating itself from the pack: UVA needed overtime to win at Miami last night, while the other top-of-the-heap teams won at home.

Creme's last bracket has UNC making the tournament and Boston College staying away: given BC's schedule, will they have a good case for an at-large bid?

UPDATE: Rob Clough, who turned in his column for Full Court before last night's slate of games, looks harder at the ACC's down weird year.
