Mechelle writes about The Power Of Yow
This is the most sacred spot of the nationwide Pink Zone, of course: Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of NC State in the city of Raleigh. It's where it all started and what it's all about. And on Sunday, the "Power of Yow" stopped even the force of the Hurricanes.

Or at least that's how it felt. Miami led by six points at halftime and looked like it had a good chance to stick the Wolfpack with their fifth loss in the past six games. NC State was coming off a blowout defeat at the hands of Triangle rival Duke on Thursday, while the Hurricanes had been edged in overtime by Virginia.

But once again, while wearing pink, the Wolfpack came up big. NC State won 66-64 in front of an appreciative and emotional crowd of 6,452.

Make sure you read the fabulous sidebar Oscars. An example:

Best Costume Design: It's hard to go against NC State: pink jerseys, pink shirts underneath the jerseys, pink shoes, pink socks and pink hair bands. But with all due respect to the Wolfpack and Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw's pink-hued pumps, Miami coach Katie Meier and her staff -- black suits over a simple, pink T-shirt with a large upside down pink ribbon (the faux Y stands for Yow) front and center -- win. Pink sneakers never looked so good with a suit.
