The Big West final is set: UC-D v. UC-R

A Cal Poly comeback effort fell short as the third-seeded Riverside Highlanders escaped to the tournament final with a 54-51 win.

Top-seeded UC Davis finished the game on a 10-2 run to take down 63, UC Santa Barbara 63-53. This means the Big West Tournament women’s final will be without UC Santa Barbara for the first time since 1996.

"I'm really proud of our kids," UC-Davis coach Sandy Simpson said. "I thought we were ready come game time and that we managed our emotions well. We weren't too hyped up, but we were excited, certainly."
