Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Saturday, March 13, 2010

The Colonial Athletic Association's semi's are set.

By virtue of their 68-49 trouncing of Northeastern, top-seed Old Dominion will go up against Delaware (ODU won both regular season match-ups -- by a combined 3 pts).

The Blue Hens advanced over Drexel in overtime (67-61) behind Delle Donne's Riley-esque game: 30 points on 8/25, 12-13 from the free throw line, 9 rebounds and two blocks in 43 minutes.

By the way, EDD was named CAA Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, the first player to earn both honors since ODU's Lucienne Berthieu.

VCU took down Hofstra, 51-38. They will face #2-seed James Madison. JMU overwhelmed UNC-Wilmingtons 67-40. Dawn Evans "only" scored 10pts, but she only played 21 minutes.

The games will be on t.v. in some places -- don't think they'll be streamed.
