Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

Diana scored 34 and led a big third-quarter comeback, but the Sparks won the other three quarters and the game.

Phoenix had trouble rebounding again, and their shooters had yet one more late-game fade. Derevjanik played nine minutes; Smith played less than one.

Coach Westhead: "Sometimes your opponent just beats you... Lisa Leslie played the whole game like an All-Star and then for those big fourth-quarter moments Temeka Johnson took over."

LLL: "Diana could just come in, she could miss five shots, she could shoot airballs and then knock down eight three-pointers from half court. It's amazing to watch her play."
