Inane commentary on a game that deserves far better

And the upsets keep on comin' --

1) Miami of Ohio ended #25 Bowling Greens's 25-game winning streak.
“Our players were prepared after coach Lisa Hayden’s scouting report,” Miami coach Maria Fantanarosa said. “We focused on Tracy Pontius and (Lauren) Prochaska and it changed BG’s timing. Of course, they also had a night shooting 20 percent, so it all came together. Our defense kept us in the game and as it went on, it gave us a chance to win.”
You may recall that last year, Miami earned their first NCAA bid.

2) Kansas' state motto may be "Ad Astra Per Aspera (To the Stars Through Difficulties)," but tonight it was more like, "To the Lonestars, Put'em Through Difficulties."

#21 Kansas State knocked off #16 Texas 66-50.

3) Not to be outdone, and probably singing, "Anything you can do we can do better," Kansas' Danielle McCray scored a career-high 35 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead the Jayhawks to a 69-45 stomping of the (temporarily?) Wilson-less #6 Baylor Bears. Said Kansas coach Bonnie Henrickson:
"No, you don't expect anything like that,"
