Fresno State has released a 380-page report on the Stacy Johnson-Klein fiasco. Fresno State suspended Johnson-Klein in February and fired her in March.
The report documents serious troubles with painkillers, potential insurance fraud, sexually inappropriate behavior, and various rules violations, confirming players' earlier complaints. "Johnson-Klein required players, coaches and student managers to baby-sit her children, and pack and carry her bags. Players described Johnson-Klein's coaching style as hostile and threatening." One player now says up to 14 (of 15) FSU players would have left, had Johnson-Klein stayed.
Johnson-Klein, who earlier offered somewhat implausible defenses in interviews, still says she's suing the school; she also claims she's pregnant and won't seek new coaching work soon. (Think nobody would ever hire her? Think again.)
The Fresno State men aren't doing so well either.
